A man was allegedly assaulted by a group who got out of a vehicle and stole his phone and wallet.
Police received a call at 11.15pm on Monday, October 2 to reports of a man having been assaulted and robbed by a group of men.
Officers attended Milton Avenue, East Ham, to speak with the victim - who police said was not seriously injured in the alleged attack.
The victim reported that the group of males got out of a vehicle and assaulted him before stealing his phone and wallet.
Enquiries are ongoing into the incident and no arrests have been made.
Police are working to identify the suspects and the vehicle they were driving.
A police spokesperson added "Local neighbourhood officers are increasing patrols in the local area where this robbery occured".
