My nan always used to say "Jan and Feb, Lowest ebb". And this winter, of all winters, we can feel all too keenly that low ebb, and the dearth of inspiration, energy and spirit.

Thus began the most interesting, fulfilling and exciting life, which still, by God’s grace, continues today.

What a strange and peculiar time we’re in. I know everyone’s calling it unprecedented, and no doubt it is, but I want to call it frightening and confusing and worrying and eerily quiet, and weirdly slow too.
