An army of Harry Potters, white rabbits and superheroes will arrive in schools across the borough to celebrate the joys of reading.
The costumed fun will mark World Book Day, the annual event to highlight the importance of children reading and loving books.
Students across Newham will come to school dressed as their favourite fictional character.
Here at the Recorder we will be collecting your pictures for World Book Day, either taken at school or at home, so your great costumes can be featured in your local paper.
Send your pictures to sophie.morton@archant.co.uk or post them on our Facebook or Twitter pages.
