Images have been released in an appeal after Hungary supporters violently assaulted police officers.
Police wish to identify five men who were at the World Cup qualifying match between England and Hungary at Wembley Stadium on October 12, 2021.
During the match, a supporter was arrested for shouting racial abuse at a steward.
This led to supporters in the away stand, from Hungary and Poland, according to the Met, attacking officers.
Detective Constable Dawid Ratajczak called it a “challenging operation” as several arrests were made on the day.
An appeal launched today (December 7) hopes to identify five men in connection with the violence that broke out.
DC Ratajczak said: “I would urge anyone who recognises these people to get in touch immediately and quote the relevant reference number shown on the image. This type of behaviour has no place in football or wider society and these people must be held responsible for their actions.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 4160/06DEC22. Information can also be sent anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
