A man who has been charged with the murder of a fellow adult care home resident has been named by police.
Rolando Torres-Pena was arrested at the mental health care centre on Glen Road, Newham, early on Tuesday morning (January 3).
Police found another resident, 34, suffering from head injuries and despite best efforts from the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A post-mortem examination at East Ham Mortuary on Wednesday (January 4) gave the cause of death of compression of the neck.
His next of kin have been informed.

Torres-Pena, of Carson Road in Canning Town, was arrested at the venue on suspicion of murder.
The 21-year-old was taken into custody and later charged.
He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court today (January 5).
