Nine people have been charged in relation to an investigation into the death of an 18-year-old man in Newham.
Abubakkar ‘Junior’ Jah was shot and stabbed in Coolfin Road, Custom House on April 26 2021.
Police and paramedics were called around 2.45pm and found Junior, who was suffering from knife wounds.
It was later established that he had also been shot.
Despite the best efforts of medics he died at the scene.
Some of the charges also relate to an alleged attempted murder in Tree Road, Custom House four days before Junior's death.
Asad Sharif, 28, of Manor Park, Newham, was charged on April 9 with murder, attempted murder, two counts of possession of a firearm and conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.
He appeared at the Old Bailey on April 13, where he was remanded in custody.
Eight further defendants are due to appear at Thames Magistrates Court on May 4, the Met Police said.
Awadh Saleh, 24, of Plaistow, was charged on April 13 with murder, attempted murder, two counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of a pointed/bladed article.
Zyon Francis, 23, of Plaistow, was charged on April 12 with assisting an offender.
Rio Burton-Devine, 24, of Islington, was charged on April 18 with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Both Ahmed Kassim, 30, and Makhil Osman, 23, of Newham were charged on April 14 with assisting an offender, alongside Marcel Burton, 19, of Lambeth, charged on April 16, with assisting an offender.
Jessica Hilton 22, of Dartford, Kent was charged on April 16 and Dino Hamza, 25, of Newham, was charged on April 14 with conspiracy to steal motor vehicles.
