A 12-year-old-boy is in critical condition after he was seriously injured in a crash.
Police are now appealing for motorists and any potential witnesses to come forward following reports of a crash in Barking Road, near to the junction with Melbourne Road in East Ham on Sunday (June 11).
Emergency services were called at 1.26pm and rushed the boy to an east London hospital with life-threatening injuries.
In a new update by the Metropolitan Police, the boy is said to remain in a critical condition as he still fights for his life.
His family have been informed, the Met said.

The driver, now revealed to be a 33-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drugs.
He remains in custody at an east London police station.
Anyone with information or dash cam footage that could help with the investigation are asked to come forward and call police on 101 quoting CAD 3936/11Jun.
