Police have released an image of a man they are hoping to identify after a stabbing at a restaurant.
The stabbing happened at an eatery in Barking Road, near the Arragon Road junction, in East Ham on Saturday, April 1.
The victim was a man in his 30s who had visited the restaurant to buy food just before 4.45am.
Police said he attempted to break up an incident where a male was arguing with and fighting customers in the venue.
He received stab wounds to his arm which are potentially life changing, a Met Police spokesperson added.
The male suspect left the scene in a dark blue Audi, they said.
Police have released an image of a man they would like to locate in connection with the stabbing.
Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.
CCTV footage shows several people in the local vicinity of the incident whilst it was ongoing and officers have extended appeals to any witnesses to come forward.
