A man has been rushed to hospital after he was assaulted close to a bus station in the early hours of the morning.
Police were called to reports of an assault near Stratford bus station just after 12.30am today (December 6).
A 35-year-old man found at the scene was rushed to hospital with head injuries.
A police spokesperson has since said that the man’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made at this stage of the investigation.
Great Eastern Road was closed in both directions outside the bus station earlier this morning.
This forced the diversion of bus routes 69, 158, 241, 257 and 308.
