A man has been injured after a fire tore through a house, damaging most of the ground floor.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters rushed to a mid-terraced house in Malborough Road, Forest Gate, after the Brigade was called at 9.40pm yesterday (December 19) to reports of a blaze.
The fire, believed to have been accidentally caused by an e-bike, injured a man who was treated at the scene and damaged most of the home's ground floor.
A London Fire Brigade (LFB) spokesperson said: "E-bikes and e-scooters are London's fastest-growing fire risk, with around 150 e-bike fires and around 30 e-scooter fires so far in 2023.
"Sadly, three people have died in these fires and more than 60 people have been hurt."
