Free, drop-in sessions for autistic people and those with learning disabilities have been launched in Newham.
The Speak Out Newham sessions run on the second Monday of every month and provide a space for people to speak to others about issues they face and make friends.
They have been brought to the borough by voice and rights charity VoiceAbility, in partnership with Newham Council.
The sessions last from 1pm until 4pm, with the first hour set aside for those with learning disabilities, the last hour set aside for autistic people, and an opportunity for both groups to attend in the second hour.
Trish Moody, Connections Speak Out facilitator at VoiceAbility, said: “The Newham drop-in provides an opportunity for people with learning disabilities and autistic people to speak out about problems they face, be listened to and share experiences."
Newham Speak Out sessions are held at The Resource Centre in Chargeable Lane.
