A man from Newham has been jailed after he was found to be growing cannabis and in possession of offensive weapons.
Charles Farrugia, 64, was found guilty of being in possession of a Rambo knife and knuckle duster in a private place and cultivating cannabis plants.
He was sentenced to two-and-a-half years' imprisonment.
His sentencing follows the discovery of the weapons and a secret bunker containing 106 cannabis plants by police, after they carried out a warrant at an address in Forest Gate.
Their search also turned up sums of cash totalling £10,000, which will be forfeited to the Lord Mayor's fund.
An inspector said: "Officers used their knowledge of the area to gather useful intelligence in order to obtain a warrant on the address.
"It is in the community's best interest that Farrugia is given a custodial sentence and it is right for the money found during the warrant to be donated to a charitable cause that benefits the community."
The sentencing was last month.
