A man wanted after a woman was stabbed in East Ham has been named and pictured.
Police were called to a home in Oakfield Road at around 9am last Wednesday (January 31) after reports that a woman had suffered a stab injury.
She was rushed to an east London hospital where her injury was assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
Catalin Bostan, 46, has now been named as a man police would like to speak to in connection to their investigation.
A Romanian national, Bostan is described as being around 5ft 8” tall and of stocky build.
He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, burgundy trainers and a black coat with a white stripe.
Officers believe he could be sleeping rough around Barking and East Ham.
Bostan and the victim are believed to be known to each other.
Anyone who sees him is advised to call 999 immediately as he should not be approached.
Police have urged anyone with information as to his whereabouts to call 101 or post on X (@MetCC), quoting reference CAD 5365/2 Feb.
