Passers-by have reacted to the huge fire at Forest Gate Police Station, with sadness expressed about the incident.
Emergency services are still at the scene of the blaze this morning (March 7), with police saying Romford Road is likely to remain closed for the rest of the day.
The fire started at around 4pm yesterday (March 6), with the building alight for hours until the blaze was finally brought under control just after 11pm.
The whole of the police station's roof has been destroyed and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Recorder spoke to passers-by this morning, with Fatima Essan describing the incident as "very sad".
"Everything is bad but praying to God, hoping that everything will be fine.”
Narween Atwal said he saw a video of the fire last night, calling the blaze "very bad for London".
“People are facing some struggle right now like myself, it’s taken me 30 to 40 minutes to get to work.
"It’s inconvenient but the most important thing is to save the people. The firefighters are very hardworking and they are working since yesterday night.”
London Fire Brigade said 60 people were evacuated from the building before fire crews arrived and there have been no reports of any injuries.
