A group of teenagers battled each other with weapons in a brawl near three schools.

Footage shows the moment the youths appear to be hitting each other while brandishing large objects near the entrance of Southern Road Primary School in Plaistow – a short distance from Plaistow Primary School and Lister Community School.

Police were called to the scene on Friday (April 19) at about 3pm, to reports of people with knives on Southern Road.

Officers, including firearm officers, attended and four boys in their mid-teens were arrested, the Metropolitan Police said.

Three of them have bailed pending further enquiries.

One adult male was taken to hospital due to a head and hand injury, but has since been discharged.
