Five people are in hospital and around 100 people have been evacuated following a fire in a flat tower in North Woolwich.
Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters tackled a blaze inside a flat on Rymill Street, North Woolwich, yesterday (June 27) at around 10.30pm.
At the scene, they found that part of a five-roomed flat on the tenth floor was alight.

Four people were rescued by crews and around 100 others evacuated and taken to a local rest centre.
Five people have been taken to hospital by paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. We await confirmation of their condition.
London Fire Brigade’s 999 control officers took around 30 phone calls about the blaze.
The fire was under control by 11.50pm and its cause is under investigation.
