A man has been rushed to hospital after a fire which destroyed a flat in a tower block.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to a blaze on Daines Close in Manor Park, Newham, yesterday at 12.24am.
A man was found suffering smoke inhalation and treated by the London Ambulance Service at the scene, before being taken to hospital.
LFB found that a three-roomed flat on the third floor of the four-storey block was destroyed by the fire.

Ten residents had evacuated before LFB arrived. Four fire engines and 25 firefighters subsequently tackled the blaze.
Over an hour after LFB was called at 1.36am, the fire was under control.
Crews from Ilford, Stratford and East Ham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, LFB added.
