A woman was taken to a major trauma centre after suffering multiple injuries in a crash in Plaistow.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service were called at 10.35pm yesterday (July 7) with reports of a crash in Barking Road.
An ambulance crew, incident response officer and the Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) were dispatched to the scene.
The first paramedic arrived within five minutes, with colleagues from the Metropolitan Police and the London Fire Brigade also present.
A woman was discovered with "several injuries" according to an LAS spokesperson, and was treated at the scene.
She was later taken to a major trauma centre as a priority.

A spokesperson for LFB confirmed they had been called at 10.43pm and had left the scene by 11pm.
The Met have been contacted for a comment in connection with the incident.
Barking Road is believed to have been closed for a period of time last night, but according to the AA has reopened.
