A woman is in hospital after being struck by a car in Stratford.
Newham Council has reported an incident on the Broadway at 12.45pm today (July 12) involving a pedestrian and a car.
The council said in a post on X that the vehicle, believed to have been a dark-coloured BMW, allegedly failed to stop after being involved in a crash with a woman.
The woman is said to have been taken to a nearby hospital where her condition has yet to be confirmed.

According to AA, the road has since reopened after the council reported police had put a closure in place between West Ham Lane and Great Eastern Road.
Images shared to Facebook have shown a police officer at a crime scene cordon.
The London Ambulance Service and Metropolitan Police have been contacted for a comment.
