A man has been charged following a double stabbing in East Ham. 

Ismail Uradde of Holland Road, East Ham was charged on July 27 with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, and possession of a knife in a public place.

It follows a major incident in East Ham last week that saw the A124 Barking Road and surrounding side roads taped off by police.

At the scene, two men in their 40s were found suffering from stab wounds and were taken to a hospital.

Police made an arrest the same day. 

Uradde was remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court on July 27. 

The 36-year-old will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on August 23.
