A 16-year-old boy has been charged with the murder of a young man stabbed to death.
Imran Maroof died after being stabbed in Plashet Park, in Newham, on July 27.
Emergency services were called at 7.38pm to reports of a fight.
Police and paramedics found 20-year-old Imran with stab injuries and despite their efforts, he died at the scene.
His family continue to be supported by specialist officers.
A 16-year-old boy, from Newham, was charged on Friday (August 30) with murder.
He appeared at Bexley Magistrates’ Court, and is expected to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday (September 3).
Detectives from the Met's specialist crime command continue to investigate.
