Two men have been charged with burglary after a Banksy artwork was stolen from a London gallery.
The illusive artist’s painting ‘Girl with balloon’ was stolen from a gallery in New Cavendish Street in Westminster last Sunday (September 8) at around 11pm.
Larry Fraser, 47, of Evelyn Denington Road in Beckton, and James Love, 53, of Elvin Drive, North Stifford in Thurrock, were charged on Thursday (September 12).
The two were charged with on-residential burglary and remanded in police custody.
Both appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where they were bailed to next appear at Kingston Crown Court on Wednesday, October 9.
