London's best places to get a roast dinner have officially been named by a leading food platform.
The Good Food Guide's list of the Top 50 Best Sunday Roasts for 2024 sees the UK's tasty dinners rounded up and praised by leading chefs and hungry folk alike.
Sponsored by Koffmann’s Potatoes and Tracklements, the list aims to show the importance of championing those restaurants, pubs and cafes that are the backbone of the British dining scene.
A Sunday roast has become a traditional meal for family gatherings and is offered everywhere from simple neighbourhood cafes to grand hotel dining rooms.
The overall winner of the best roast in the UK was awarded to The Abbey Inn in Yorkshire by chef Tommy Banks.
But among the named spots, were six in London that you can visit and try a Sunday roast for yourself.

The best places for a Sunday Roast in London named
The spots named on the list for London are:

- Lagom at Hackney Church Brew Co, Hackney - Best Value Sunday Roast
- The Canton Arms, Stockwell
- The Devonshire, Soho
- The Holland, Kensington
- The Red Lion & Sun, Highgate Village
Blacklock in Canary Wharf earned the special title of the UK's best Sunday roast for group dining while Lagom at Hackney Church Brew Co earned the title of the best value Sunday roast.
Lagom has become famous for its Sunday roasts, with chef Elliot's famous "Hang Over Bowls" often selling out from 12pm.
Fans of Lagom's roasts are encouraged to book a month in advance to not be disappointed and if you want a quiet time, to book for 12pm.
On Google reviews, one guest said: "Came here mainly for the Sunday roast. Had the Hangover bowl for £12 which felt like very good value for money. The meat was infused with smokiness and it was cooked perfectly."
The Canton Arms in Stockwell has won a range of awards including a GastroPub award, Hardens Best London Pub award and more.
The Stockwell spot offers a Sunday menu including Rare roast Dexter beef, roasties, green beans and watercress and Salt Marsh lamb shoulder, potato and olive oil gratin, and greens.

On Tripadvisor, one guest gave The Canton Arms 5/5 sharing: "Rabbit and smoked ham pie to die for. And a selection of the most delectable cheeses to finish can’t fault this gastro pub."
The Red Lion & Sun in Highgate Village also made the Good Food Guide's list, offering Sunday roasts including Roast rib of beef, Milk-fed lamb and Côte de boeuf.
On Google, one fan said: "Eaten here multiple times including their Sunday roast. Best place the area for food and always great atmosphere and great service."
