A man has appeared in court following a firearms incident in Canning Town.
Police were investigating reports of shots being fired in Butchers Road at around 3.25am on December 30.
Chris Kaba, a 19-year-old from Sydenham, south London, was charged on Sunday with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court yesterday.
Police continue to appeal for information to identify a second man, shown on CCTV at the scene, who is described as black, wearing black joggers, black trainers and a black coat with a light-coloured fur hood.
