HA7 Football Coaching, a local sports organisation, is offering free 1-2-1 football sessions, fitness sessions, gym memberships, and active classes to young people between the ages of 11 and 23.
With the cost of living crisis impacting many households, parents in Newham have found it increasingly difficult to afford fitness and sports activities for their children, limiting their opportunities to stay fit and active.
Recognising the need for accessible and affordable sports programmes, HA7 Football Coaching has stepped up to provide a valuable resource to the community. By offering free 1-2-1 football sessions, young people receive personalised coaching and guidance to improve their skills and develop a love for the game. Free fitness sessions will help participants stay in shape and enhance their overall well-being.
HA7 Football Coaching is also providing free gym memberships to eligible young people to help aspiring athletes have access to state-of-the-art training facilities without the financial burden that often accompanies such amenities.
Active classes will be offered to engage young people in various physical activities, promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Director Hafiz Ahmed, who grew up in Manor Park, expressed his connection to the community and his desire to give back.
With a wealth of coaching experience from grassroots to university level, as well as international coaching stints in Malaysia and Bangladesh, Ahmed understands the transformative power of sports and its potential to shape young lives.
"I grew up as a youngster in Manor Park and have coached football at various levels both locally and internationally," he said.
"This initiative is my way of giving back to the community that has provided me with countless memories and experiences. I hope to empower young people and inspire them to reach their full potential through the power of sports."
The free 1-2-1 football sessions, fitness sessions, gym memberships, and active classes provided by HA7 Football Coaching are a beacon of hope for families in Newham, ensuring no young person is denied the opportunity to pursue their passion for sports due to financial constraints.
With this initiative, HA7 Football Coaching sets an example for other clubs and organisations, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and equal access to fitness and sports opportunities.
